About the role:
As a Business Development Representative (BDR) you will be responsible for identifying and contacting potential new bank and credit union customers, qualifying leads, building relationships, and generating sales opportunities by utilizing outbound prospecting methods like cold calling and emailing, ultimately handing off qualified leads to the sales team to close deals. This is a key role in driving new business growth for Tyfone’s signature Youth Digital Banking solution by actively managing the sales pipeline through lead generation and initial customer engagement.
Required skills:
- Strong communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively engage with potential customers.
- Sales acumen: Understanding of the sales process, including lead generation, qualification, and closing techniques.
- Persuasive selling: Ability to articulate the value proposition and effectively convince prospects to move forward in the sales cycle.
- Relationship building skills: Ability to build rapport and trust with potential clients quickly.
- Time management: Efficiently manage a large volume of leads and prioritize tasks to meet sales targets.
- CRM proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software to track lead information and manage the sales pipeline.
- Market knowledge: Understanding of the industry, target market, and competitor landscape.
Education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or work experience required.
- 1-3 years’ experience in software lead generation, ideally within the Fintech or Digital Banking industry
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets and exceeding expectations
